Idolatry.Nailed to the ideal,  just like his plastic  dashboard-Christ,  that this Mary Magdalene  may love him someday.   
He didn't wash his face  for days, for fear  of erasing proof of her  
pansy pink lips  impressing themselves  upon his cheek.   
That's faith, my friends,  in a two-bit sold-soul  that only hung around  to help him impress  
the Asian businessmen  and spend a night  in velvet skirts  and ruffled shirts  instead of a two-dollar  rouge red, fakelace thong.   
The powder clung to  
the skin around her nose, & Idolatry.

winter.Sparrows and Crows,  
chase this solstice away  and procreate a future  in the upturning, fertile earth,  who is cold, and on her back  ready for you to peck away  her many flaws.  Grass and Leaves,  spread and permeate her [skin]  like goose bumps under the breeze.   
No more grey skies  without promise of a rainbow.  Cherry sherbert sunsets melt  my heart each night  and haunt my day dreams.   
Soon you won't be able to see  
through the branches anymore  and their fingers won't curl  against the air, but willembrace it,  and caress it w winter.

As all of us Write-Offers know, the project 007-WriteOff seems to have, slowly, fallen further and further behind in updates and motivation. None of us knew what would become of it. BUT WAIT! We now have new staff, energetic motivation and so much inspiration we're not even sure what to do with it.

So here's the deal: January is a new month, and a new year, to start over from scratch and remember what Write-Off is ALL about.

And in good ol' Write-Off spirit, we're kicking off the new year with a brand spankin' new competition. Want more information on entering and prizes? Check out the home page.
